Welcome to my personal website!
My name is Lubashan Pathirana (/lʊˈbɑʃən paθirənə/: this is how my name is pronounced). I am a postdoc QMATH center of the University of Copenhagen where I am working with Prof. Albert H Werner. I obtained my PhD at Michigan State University in the summer of 2023. My PhD advisor was Prof. Jeffrey Schenker.
My main research focus is the application of dynamical systems techniques to quantum information, particularly the study of inhomogeneous quantum processes. This includes quantum trajectories arising from both endogenous and exogenous measurement protocols. I am also interested in inhomogeneous matrix product states and other systems generated by repeated, non-identical quantum processes.
More recently, I have been studying Julia and Fatou sets generated by sequences of rational maps, with particular emphasis on how their behavior differs from that of classical autonomous case.
Thank you for visiting my website. I hope that you will take a moment to learn more about my research and career interests. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to connect.
